About me
Over the last 20 years I have worked across branding, print, web and interior product design. A sustainable, thoughtful approach is at the core of everything I do.
I live in Shrewsbury with my wife, our two boys and Mabel, our labrador. When I'm not working, you'll find me running the local trails, out on family hill walks, or at home with a book, board game or good (or even bad) film.
Experience
Croft is a new venture for 2026 - bringing together my branding and website skills to provide complete packages for purpose-driven organisations ready to grow. My first project was a brand and website for a luxury eco-build holiday home on the Welsh coast.
Freelance
Designer & Developer
2014 - Present
I have worked on a wide range of projects across a variety of sectors, both independently and in collaboration with larger studios. This has included:
- Branding, design and development of an online toolkit for schools providing healthy relationships education. This currently has over 100 active participant schools & universities.
- A low-carbon website build for a pioneering carbon-negative construction materials company, which saw an average drop of 79% in CO2 emissions across the site compared to their previous website.
- Website design & development for an ethical education recruiter, including vacancy listings and mailing list integration.
- Website design & build for a rural surveyor.
- Branding & website for an ethical hair & beauty salon.
Newgate
Designer / Senior Designer
2007 - 2017
Product design for a contemporary clock and homeware brand. As part of a small team I worked on projects from concept through to production, including 3D modelling, prototyping, and specifiying for manufacture. In addition to this I also worked on packaging, promotional materials and trade show stands. After being made Senior Designer, I worked on a range of wristwatches to expand the product range, and also worked on design and development of the brand website.

2003 - 2006
This course focused on environmentally conscious design, lifecycle thinking, and ethical manufacturing.
